On the Road with the Wine Wrangler: Lusso Della Terra

Wine Wrangler: Lusso Della Terra

Edward Cholakian is the young, ambitious and passionate winemaker and owner at Lusso Della Terra. He started crunching numbers as a winery accountant at soon after graduating from Sonoma State University with a Bachelors in Accounting. Soon, the excitements outside his office would draw him out into the vineyard. He found himself taking the advice of winemakers on how to switch careers into winemaking.

Attending school was a logical choice. He enrolled into UC Davis for a degree in Enology after which he would work his way up from the cellar to the laboratory and finally bottling. Unsatisfied yet willing to learn, Edward worked with (and for) winemaking teams at; Fetzer, Chateau St Jean, the Monterey wine Company and Cakebread Cellars.

Presently, his well-earned expertise and love for the Italian winemaking style can be seen in the limited release handcrafted wines he makes. He also regularly consults with and produces for over 30 wineries in California alone.

Lusso Della Terra means "Luxury of the Land", a nod to Edwards Italian inspiration that focuses on a grapes individual complexity combined with artful winemaking. Each wine is certain and ultra premium. Wines you will grow fond of.
