On The Road with The Wine Wrangler: Field Recording |
Paso Robles was
named the Wine Region of the Year by
Wine
Enthusiast in 2013 and ever since, it’s been a favorite destination for
wine lovers far and wide, and with good reason, with over 200 wineries in the
area, the wine tasting possibilities are endless. While many of our visitors
enjoy tasting throughout Paso Robles
Wine Country, The Wine Wrangler also offers tours to the Santa Ynez and Edna Valley, as well as to north in Monterrey County.
One of our favorite tasting rooms that we enjoy sharing with
our Wine Wrangler guests is located in Paso Robles. The manifestation of a
passion for wine—from the vine to the bottle—Field Recordings is the creative product of 35 year old winemaker
and vine nursey fieldman, Andrew Jones. In his work as a vine nursey
fieldman—planting and managing vines—Jones is given a shot at small lots of
their best fruit. The rest is pure magic.
Field Recordings
focuses on 3 labels:
Wonderwall:
Pinots and Chardonnays from extreme coastal areas
Alloy Wine Works:
A fun—and delicious—line of varietals ‘bottled’ in Tall Boy cans
FICTION:
The original label that includes both reds and whites from multiple vineyards
and multiple varietals
Field Recordings
utilizes fruit from 4 vineyard locations:
Jurassic Park in
the Santa Ynez Valley, Koligan in Paso Robles, Old Potrero
from the Arroyo Grande Valley, and Spanish Springs from the Edna Valley.
Book a wine tasting tour with The Wine Wrangler and let us take you wine tasting to Field Recordings and other great
wineries in Paso Robles Wine Country
and all long California’s Central Coast.
In addition, The Wine Wrangler
offers wine tasting tours
throughout Santa Ynez, Edna Valley, Carmel Valley, Santa Lucia
Highlands, Santa Maria Valley—or
anywhere in California. Our wine
tasting tours are highly rated as the best in the area and we pride
ourselves on top-notch customer service, including drivers who are
knowledgeable about both the wineries and the local history.
