On the Road with The Wine Wrangler Wine Tasting Tours |
Wandering around California’s
Central Coast and throughout Paso
Robles Wine Country is a dream come true for wine lovers everywhere. Wine
tasting with The Wine Wrangler provides the perfect opportunity to kick back
and enjoy scenery so spectacularly beautiful that it feels as if you’re driving
through a painting, and with over 200 wineries to visit, the possibilities are
endless. One of our favorite activities—beside tasting wine—is tasting wine
with food and one of our favorite places to enjoy both is at Le Vigne Winery.
Le Vigne Winery’s story begins in the 1960s with owner
Sylvia Filippini’s family, purchased the property and set to work raising
cattle and hay. The first grapes were planted in the early 1980s and Sylvia
fondly remembers following her grandfather around as he tended to the vines.
Over time, the Filippinis’ focus shifted from cattle to developing vineyards
and as they say in the movies, the rest is history.
Today, Le Vigne Winery has just over 88 acres of planted
vineyards and they grow a number of varietals, including, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet
Sauvignon, Chardonnay, Corvina, Grenache, Malbec, Merlot, Peite Sirah, Petit
Verdot, Sauvignon Blanc, Viognier, and several others. Additionally,
you’ll find several acres of Arbequina Olive trees, as well as a few chestnut and pistachio
trees.
No trip to Paso Robles Wine Country is complete without a
stop at Le Vigne Winery’s tasting room where you can sip wine and shop the gift
shop for unique wine accessories, gaze upon the amazing selection of gourmet
cheeses, or step out onto the beautiful grounds and enjoy picnicking in the
wine park with views of the historic 1947 Pullman Train cars.
Tasting flights can be paired with either cheese or
chocolate—or both—and tours are available.
Private VIP tours provide guests with a tour of the winery,
private barrel tasting and gourmet cheese pairing. Ready to enjoy wine and
cheese at Le Vigne Winery with The Wine Wrangler? We’ll do the driving and
you can enjoy the ride.
