One of our favorite wineries to stop by for a little wine tasting is Pear Valley Winery with sweeping views that captivate, sustainable farming practices (yes; they’re SIP Certified), and amazing wines—not to mention, a friendly and well-informed tasting room staff. Pear Valley Winery, owned by Tom and Kathleen Maas, offers 24 mixed red and white wines. One of our favorites—the perfect accompaniment to grilled meats, cheeses, or smoked salmon—is the 2015 Tempranillo, made with 100% estate grown Tempranillo. This wine has gotten some serious accolades, including a gold medal and 93 point rating at the Los Angeles International Wine Competition. You’ll enjoy discovering the nuances of candied fig, blue and red berries, plum, and tobacco that this wine reveals.
